Before you call

What buyers ask us before they commit.

What kinds of spaces do you install in?

Conference and training rooms, event venues, lecture halls and classrooms, houses of worship, and healthcare and corporate facilities. The room decides most of the design, which is why the write-ups are by room rather than by product: conference rooms, classrooms and lecture capture, and houses of worship.

Do you design the system, or install one we have specified?

Either. Where the design is ours it starts from what the room has to do and what the room will physically allow, rather than from a product list. Where a specification already exists we are happy to build to it, and will say so plainly if something in it will not survive the room.

What does the process actually involve?

We design the system around the room it is going into, handle procurement, install and cable it, then commission and test the finished system rather than handing over a pile of working parts. Training and the warranty come after that, and both are covered below.

Will the people who use it need training?

We train the people who will use the room every day, as part of the job rather than as an upsell. That said, the design does most of the work: a system that needs a manual is a system that gets avoided, so the target is a room somebody can walk into and use. Designing a conference room people stop avoiding is largely about this.

Is the installation covered by a warranty?

Yes. We back the systems we install with a warranty, which is part of why we would rather design and commission a room ourselves than inherit somebody else’s wiring. Questions to ask before you sign an AV installation contract covers what to pin down in writing, whoever is doing the work.

What should we ask before signing an installation contract?

More than most people do, and the questions that matter are rarely about the equipment. Questions to ask before you sign an AV installation contract sets out the ones worth putting in writing, including who owns the system documentation and what support looks like after handover.

Can you fix sound in a room that has always been difficult?

Usually, and usually not by adding more speakers. Hard parallel surfaces and a long reverberation time defeat volume every time. Getting clear sound in a room that fights you explains what is actually happening and what changes it.

Do you work outside Long Island?

Yes. Our shop is in Glen Cove and we work throughout the tri-state area, with an affiliate network for jobs further afield. Areas we serve has the detail, or tell us where the room is.
