The short version

We are an audio visual company, not a data company. This site collects what it needs to answer your inquiry and to tell us which pages are worth keeping. We do not sell your information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not build a profile of you.

When you contact us

The form on our contact page asks for your name, email address, phone number, company, what you need and, if you have one, an event date. That goes into our own database so the team can reply, and a copy is emailed to whoever is handling inquiries. We keep it for as long as it is useful to the relationship, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

We also record a shortened, one-way fingerprint of the network address the message came from. It cannot be turned back into an address. It exists so the form can recognize a flood of automated submissions, and for nothing else.

When you sign up for updates

The newsletter box in the footer stores your email address and the date you signed up. That is the whole record. Every message we send carries a way to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

How we measure the site

Two things measure this website, and they are separate.

Our own page counter. Each time a page loads, this site records the page address, the website you arrived from (the site name only, never the full link, which can contain a search you typed) and the country the request came from. It sets no cookie, stores no identifier, and there is nothing in it that connects one visit to another or to you. It is how we know which of our pages are doing their job.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and move around the site. It sets cookies and it is a Google product, so Google's own privacy terms apply to what it collects. We do not run advertising or remarketing tags, we do not use it to build audiences, and we have never linked it to an advertising account. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit with Google's browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser. Blocking it does not affect anything on this site.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
• We do not run advertising trackers, remarketing pixels or social pixels.
• We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you.
• We do not ask for anything sensitive. Please do not send us payment card details, government identifiers or health information through this website.

Other companies involved

This site is hosted on Cloudflare, and our email is sent through a service we operate for that purpose. Google Analytics is described above. That is the complete list: there are no other embeds, chat widgets or third-party scripts on any page.

Your choices

Write to info@longislandvideo.com or call 516 759 5483 (LIVE) and ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will do it. We do not ask you to prove a legal right first.

Changes

If we add something that measures or stores your information, this page changes on the same day. The date at the top is the honest one.
