Long Island Video Returns as Exclusive AV Provider for the Melville Chamber Business Expo

Long Island Video Enterprises LIVE, Inc. will return as the exclusive audio-visual provider for the Melville Chamber of Commerce Business Expo on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, the second consecutive year the company has produced the event.

The Expo runs from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Hilton Melville, is free to attend, and is open to members and non-members alike. Every exhibitor table for 2026 has already sold out, with more than a hundred businesses expected on the floor.

Two events in one room

A business expo is a harder production than its floor plan suggests, because it is really two events running at once.

On the floor, a hundred exhibitors are talking to visitors at conversational distance, all at the same time. On the stage, a program of remarks, recognitions and speakers needs a room full of standing people to hear one person clearly. The first wants the room kept as quiet as it can reasonably be. The second wants to be heard over it.

Getting both right is a coverage and placement problem rather than a volume one, and it is the part of expo AV that has to be settled in the room plan rather than on the morning.

What last year looked like

The 2025 Expo filled the Hilton Melville on October 28, and the Chamber’s gallery from the day runs to more than two hundred photographs. The program opened, as it does, with the national anthem sung live from the stage, with the flag on screen behind the singer and a house flag beside him.

That moment is a useful illustration of what an expo stage actually asks for. It is thirty seconds long. It has one microphone, one piece of content, no rehearsal, and a room that has to go quiet and then come back to life immediately afterward. There is no second take. It sits between a welcome and a keynote in a schedule with no gaps, and the audio and the screen both have to be right the first time.

Across the day the same system carried remarks from the podium, recognitions, and sponsor and exhibitor recognition on screen, while the floor kept trading around it.

What 2026 brings

The 2026 production covers the main stage in full: sound for the room, screens and content playback, staging and lighting, microphones for the podium and for anyone joining from the floor, and a production engineer running the day from front of house.

The floor gets its own attention, which is the part organizers are often surprised by. Distributed sound at a level that lets a hundred conversations happen without escalating, announcements that cut through without shouting, and a system designed so the stage program is clearly audible in front of it and as unobtrusive as possible at the far end of the hall.

Why this event, in particular

Long Island Video has served the tri-state corporate, healthcare, educational and not-for-profit community for over 35 years, and a good deal of that work is for the organizations that make up a chamber’s membership. The Expo is the one day a year a large part of that community is in a single room.

The company is also a Chamber member and exhibits at the Expo alongside the businesses it is producing the day for, which is a slightly unusual position to be in and a genuinely useful one. It is easier to design a floor when you have spent a day standing on one.
